Milan Fashion Week, running from September 22 to 27, is the heavyweight of the fashion calendar. The Spring/Summer 2027 season brings together the full force of Italian fashion — Prada, Gucci, Versace, Dolce & Gabbana, Fendi, Giorgio Armani — in a week that defines the direction of global style. For Octobere members, Milan offers the most concentrated expression of Italian craftsmanship and creativity, front-row seats at the most significant shows, and a city that knows how to do fashion week better than anywhere in the world.

The Big Four — Seating the Major Shows
The four most sought-after shows of Milan Fashion Week are Prada (Monday evening), Gucci (Tuesday evening), Versace (Wednesday afternoon), and Dolce & Gabbana (Thursday evening). Each operates a different seating strategy. Prada’s front row is curated by Miuccia Prada herself, with a guest list that is notoriously difficult to penetrate. Gucci under Sabato De Sarno has opened its front row to a younger, more diverse mix of talent and clients. Versace’s front row is a celebration of celebrity, with Donatella personally approving each seat. Dolce & Gabbana’s seating prioritises their Alta Moda clients — women who commission couture pieces and whose relationships with the house span decades. Octobere’s fashion desk has strategies for each house, from private client introductions to media partnerships that unlock seating allocations.

Hotel Strategy — Where the Fashion Crowd Stays
The Bulgari Hotel in Milan is the unofficial headquarters of fashion week, with a lobby that functions as a networking hub from breakfast through late night. The Four Seasons on Via Gesù is the traditional choice for American editors and buyers, and its restaurant, Zelo, serves the best pre-show pasta in the city. The Principe di Savoia offers the most spacious suites in Milan, with a rooftop terrace that hosts one of the week’s most exclusive industry dinners. All three properties are fully booked four months in advance of fashion week. Octobere holds reserved allocations at each for members attending the September 2026 edition.

Milan — The Dining Scene
The pre-show dinner is a Milanese institution. Cracco, in the Galleria Vittorio Emanuele II, holds two Michelin stars and is the favourite of the fashion crowd — the restaurant’s position directly opposite the Duomo makes it a spectacular setting for a pre-show celebration. Sadler, in the Porta Nuova district, offers a more intimate experience with a tasting menu that reimagines Italian classics through a contemporary lens. For a late-night post-show supper, the bar at the Park Hyatt Milan serves a mean Negroni and a menu of small plates that sustain the conversations that continue past midnight.
