London Fashion Week, running from September 18 to 22, is the defining event of the British fashion calendar. The September 2026 edition showcases the spring/summer 2027 collections from the city’s most celebrated designers — Burberry, JW Anderson, Simone Rocha, Erdem, and the emerging talents of the NEWGEN programme. For Octobere members, London Fashion Week offers an opportunity to experience British fashion at its most dynamic, with front-row seats, private showroom appointments, and access to the after-parties that bring each day to a close.
Front-Row Strategy
Front-row seats at the major London shows are allocated by each house’s communications team, with priority given to editors, buyers, and the house’s most significant private clients. Octobere’s fashion desk maintains relationships with the client relations teams at Burberry, JW Anderson, and Erdem, allowing us to secure front-row or second-row seating for members. The key is timing: seat allocations are typically confirmed three weeks before the show, and our team begins the request process at the six-week mark. For members who are existing clients of these houses, we can leverage existing purchase histories to strengthen the request.
Showroom Appointments — The Buying Layer
The showroom appointments that run parallel to the runway shows are where the commercial business of fashion week occurs. Octobere arranges private appointments with the showrooms of major British designers, providing an opportunity to view the collection up close, understand the fabrics and construction, and place orders before the public sees the collection. These appointments are typically 45 minutes and include a presentation by a member of the design team who can speak to the inspiration behind each piece. For members with an interest in emerging talent, we arrange appointments with the NEWGEN designers at the BFC Show Space in The Strand.
The After-Parties
The BFC’s official after-party, held at Annabel’s in Mayfair, is the closing event of each day of London Fashion Week. The guest list is limited to 300 and includes designers, editors, buyers, and a curated selection of VIP guests. The dress code is black-tie, and the atmosphere is electric — this is where the conversations started on the front row continue into the early hours. Octobere holds a limited allocation of invitations to the BFC after-party for members attending the September 2026 edition.
London — The Fashion City
The Connaught in Mayfair is our recommended base for London Fashion Week. The hotel’s position on Carlos Place places it within walking distance of the major show venues (The Old Selfridges Hotel, The Royal Academy of Arts, The BFC Show Space), and the Connaught’s bar is a gathering point for the fashion crowd throughout the week. For dining, we recommend a pre-show dinner at Chiltern Firehouse (the smoked salmon with caviar is a signature dish) and a post-show celebration at the Connaught Grill, where the dry-aged beef and the wine list offer a proper end to a long day.
