The Polo Gold Cup is Switzerland’s premier polo tournament, attracting players with handicaps of 8 to 10 goals — the high-goal tier of the sport. The tournament format is a four-team competition played across Thursday to Sunday, with the final taking place on Sunday afternoon. The polo at this altitude is notably fast — the thinner air means the ball travels further, and the pristine mountain light creates a setting that photographers travel from around the world to capture. The Gstaad Polo Club’s field is one of the best-maintained in Europe, its surface tended by a groundskeeper who learned his craft at the Argentine Polo Association.
The Hublot Lounge — The Premier Enclosure
